I finished the set up for my studio last night and I feel like its Christams! I couldn't WAIT to wake up this morning and drink my coffee and write. I love how cozy and colorful it all is.
Summer, your office looks so beautiful. It is so inspiring. I love the color on your wall. I have been thinking about using a door for my desk as well. Can you tell me how you did it. Did you have to sand the door down. Also, what did you do about the hole where the door knob was? What did you use for legs and do you find it sturdy? Also, what is that beautiful color of paint that you used on your office wall. It looks very much like the color of my hallway. I can see that we share a love of vivid colors. I wish you many hours of creativity, reading, and contemplation in your new office.
Chalaundrai, it's VERY easy You go to a lumber store and pick up a door. If it's new it won't have the hole for the knob and the wood is finished--no sanding necessary! I used two filing cabinets for the legs--it's the most sturdy thing, and you can be organized to boot! The color on the wall is a color by Ralph Lauren, that I think may be discontinued. It's either "Belmont Pink" or something along the lines of "Cotton Candy." It was in his "Island Bright" series (which I totally love). We painted our kitchen his Jamaica Green. I wish YOU many hours of creativity!
In High School they had me take a career determination test. The results for my most perfect career were "Artist" and "Flower Arranger." Thanks for the news flash.
Hey Kids! Everything on this blog is copyright of Summer Pierre, unless otherwise noted! Please do not steal my stuff! I know I should think of it as an honor, but I don't!
