Just in time for Thanksgiving!

My pie crust recipe is here. It's award-winning!
Alternative recipe is relatively the same, but substitute 1/4 c. of honey instead of the molasses and honey and substitute 1/4 maple syrup for the brown sugar. I did this in a pinch one year and someone said WRITE THAT DOWN. Good thing I did. It's SO GOOD.

Being a Canadian we already had our Thanksgiving - but I'm pregnant too so is it okay if I make it and eat the whole thing as well? ;)

First, let me say that I think pregnant ladies get to eat TWO pumpkin pies if they want to. Eating for two. Like that. Secondly, hurrah for the pumpkin pie! And you know, people around here are still talking about your crust... (Emmett suggested this morning that I take over the pie making from Grandma this year and use SUMMER'S CRUST! This is a HUGE compliment because Grandma's pies rock.)

My goodness-- the sign says "Serves 10 people--or maybe just you!" So HAVE AT IT moms and babes! In my household it only serves two--so there you go. My favorite is to have it for breakfast the day after! Yummy spices...

My favorite compliment that I ever got about a pie was my dad telling me my lemon meringue beat out his mother's. That was a huge HONOR because that pie was a tradition in my dad's family. Emmett's compliment might be a close 2nd!

That sounds really good . . . and I'd be a fool not to try a pie from a GENUINE Award Winner! Rock the Pie!
